Student Trustee
Three student trustees will be elected to sit on YUSU’s Board of Trustees, the highest decision making body in YUSU. The Board oversees the Union’s work, with particular responsibility for its financial sustainability and practice, legal compliance, and mission and strategic direction.

Anjali Bishnoi
(she/her)- I will seek to be utterly transparent, accountable, and open in all I do, to be honest and fair on behalf of the student body, able to be held accountable for my actions in all I will do.
- I will listen to the needs of all students, from all backgrounds, all areas, all needs, all desires.
- In terms of the SU’s finances, I will desire to maintain its charity status, keep abreast of its spending and seek to justify all spending I am involved in.
Kyle Siwek
(he/him)- I promise to bring my experience of being on College Committee to the board, and ensure that the importance of our collegiate system is always considered in decisions made by the board.
- I promise to use my experience to ensure sabbatical officers and the managerial staff are held to account for decisions made.
- I promise to always listen to students and take the opinions I hear around campus to meetings of the board.
